I grew up in Lennox Head on the north coast of NSW and after many years away it’s where i ended up returning to. more than anything it has instilled in me a deep love of, and connection with, the ocean. after studying an arts/commerce degree in Sydney, i moved to the island of Tasmania to work as a bushwalking guide for a few years before transitioning into outdoor education. in 2017/18 I rode 10,000km on a bike from Anchorage, Alaska to Oaxaca in the south of Mexico (it was more surfing than riding too, if I’m being honest). i like taking photos and i also like to write. i have been a regular contributor at pilerats.com & urth Magazine (formerly gobe magazine). my work has also been published in north journal, byron arts magazine, the saturday paper, global hobo, southward journal, sydney to santa cruz, earthwords anthology, surfing world magazine & tracks magazine.
i’m also the co-founder of environmental organisation revive the northern rivers, committee member of richmond riverkeeper & vice-president of tuckombil landcare.
my exhibition of 35mm photography named ‘stories of the big scrub’ will go on show at nrcg ballina will go on show from august-october this year.
i'm always keen to hear from people – particularly about surfing or the environment. drop me a line!
